Question Can an existing error be removed from the system without actually fixing the problem?

I have an airbag error on my 2006 e90 that I do not want to fix, is there some software way that would fix my christmas-tree-looking dashboard?
The airbag error comes with a seatbelt icon which is always on AND an error sign. It's very annoying

I can get an OBD cable if I have to
Thanks

You can clear the error but unless you correct the problem it will come right back. AFAIK you can't disable sensors.

i think its the second one seeing as how the seatbelt reminder doesn't ring anymore when a passenger is with me with his seatbelt off

anyway all I want to do is remove the error from the dashboard I don't care about anything else

There was a recall for the seat mat sensor in the US. Not sure about other countries.
