Aren't most BMW's 50/50 in weight distribution? Or at the very least very close? But I still wouldn't put it past being an inside job, then again stealing rims doesn't require much knowledge.

Guys, who ever said that the car had an alarm? Just because the clown nose is blinking red doesn't mean that the car has an alarm. The clown nose will blink if the doors are locked, but that doesn't mean that a hood switch, motion sensor, or siren is installed.
I don't know about the duct tape, though. Even if they used it to stop the lights from flashing, if the car had an alarm the wailing siren would be another issue. |

But all the M6's have alarms, or at least it is not an additional available option on BMWUSA.com's accessory page for the M6. |

everything other than 3 X3 and Z4, have standard alarm and yes it has a tilt sensor. However if the car was jacked on both sides at the same time then the alarm would not sound.
Also has to go past I think 20 degree angle. Not to sure why you would think the car would be sold at a further discount. I am sure there is little if any damage and the wheels and tires will be replaced with out anything showing on the title or ever carfax, as it will be paid out of pocket by the dealer. The duct tape is for the flashing lights, if the alarm was tripped then a passing cop is not going to hear the alarm but he would see the lights Just my 2 cents |
