Real Carbon fiber performance parts experience
Hi guys and girls
I'm most likely going to start my DIY carbon fiber skinning soon. I got all the materials I need in order to do the fuel door, mirrors and interior. My question is now has anybody done this and would anybody like to see a DIY on this particular mod ? The result should look something like this --> |

I've done it with my G. Simple on certain parts to do, just takes time and a few days (for curing reasons). It's honestly over priced from retailers but I can understand on certain items that have a lot of curves or dips. I think I will be wrapping my mirror covers soon actually...
SideNote: A DIY would be cool too. Maybe enough people will do it and drive the price down of actually CF wrapped parts

Okay so carbon fiber appearance.
I would say it is definitely noteworthy, and should be posted in the do-it-yourself section as there are plenty of folks out there not willing to fork out the money for all new OEM trim. I don't have the skill set, nor the balls to do any of that myself, but I are many people on this forum I'm sure that would be interested to see it! |

I would have already started but there is suppose to be a couple inches of snow coming down this week so I will wait. I'm going to start with the fuel door and then interior and as last the mirrors.
I have a question did you use normal epoxy resin as base before applying the CF ?
