Change Stereo for Bluetooth and USB functions

I currently have the BMW professional stereo and am looking to change it so i have bluetooth and a USB port. I have a sony mex-3600(i think) from an old car which I was hoping to put in.

After reading some threads and contacting BMW (who said it couldn't be done), it seams I can't just replace the head unit ith a facia and a wiring adapter.

I found a company called Dynamic Sounds and they said I need the following:
AutoLeads PCF-100 (Ariel adapter) - £7.99
Autoleads FP-06-06 (Facia) - £9.99
Connects2 CTSBM005 (to keep Steering controls) £33.95 + £5 for cable
Connects2 CTRBM001 (to keep PDC) £39.95

Is this the best/cheapest option?

It's almost certainly the cheapest but not one that I would go for myself.

Probably just me being middle-aged but I don't like to have anything non-oem in my car. The solution I would go for is either the Dension Gateway 500 or mObridge interface. However you will be talking many hundreds of pounds rather than tens!

Both these are excellent suggestions that are well proven and work just like OEM. They are more expensive but worth it I think.

Thankyou for the replies, I do agree with you about keeping OEM and I've had a good look at the Denison but I was hoping to keep the price down. I have since looked at the Parrot MKi9200 and was wondering if that would be a sensible option.

Any thoughts on this or my original option would be gratefully received.

I was going to say that the Parrot looked pretty good but then
I saw Gizze's comment in this thread
