iDrive Crashing/freezing/shutting down

Hey guys,

Only bought my 325i e92 06 a week ago! and my idrive is crashing!!

I found that it could possibly be this one cd I am playing which is only a plain audio cd (no mp3) it freezes then the whole idrive system and turns off and stays off from anywhere between 20 seconds to 5 minutes.
Tried turning the car on and off a few times, came back on for a second then froze, Ive read a few things online, if the file is corrupt then it could stuff up the idrive.
I also found that if I played that one cd it would effect all the other cd's in my stacker
I know the logical thing would be to not play that CD but still doesn't sound right that it should be doing that

Has anyone experienced this at all?
Any tips?
Is there an update I can do?

I spoke to the dealership and they couldn't care less what happened and referred me to my warranty that I bought with the car which I am really pissed off about!

Any help would be great!!!

iDrive starting playing up for me when my battery was going. It started shutting down unexpectedly. New battery fixed the problem.

The only issues I have similar to that is when my USB has a file type that iDrive doesn't like and kicks me out of the USB and no matter the volume nor amount of radio signal will blast me with static. Now I just stay away from .wma or .wav

I remember when my battery was going, my indicator would not stop blinking after I did the turn. That was a sign of battery drain i think. Don't quote me 100% it's been a while.

But there are ways of telling if your battery is dying. Also the obvious time/date calibration being off. I could swear the indicator had an issue....

Hope that's all it is for you.

Yeah I read somewhere if iDrive doesn't like the file, it will cause iDrive to stuff up
Mine happens like that to, but with my MP3 cd's.
Everything has been ok so far, the other day I noticed though when the car is extremely hot it tends to kick me out of the cd and radio signal would be crappy.
I duno im lost for ideas ahaha
