Question Best Downpipes with bmw ppk tune?

Hey guys, I have a 2011 335xi with bmw ppk and was wondering what the best downpipe setup would be that will not throw codes/CEL. I'm planning on getting the bmw performance exhaust and was wondering if catted dp's would be my best option? or should i go catless with an o2 sim? thanks

In terms of performance they are all the same( by that i mean catless DP)
Just get one that has good reviews that it fits well and does not drone.
VRSF and AA are perfect examples
Skip the catted DP.

But what should I do so that I don't get check engine light? And is the smell going to be really bad from full catless?

The smell is really overrated, the only time you would notice is when its on cold start and you leave the car on idle for a while.
As for the light get a JB4

Then just ignore the light.
And when you start itching for more power get a JB4

Search "Mini CAT" in Amazon. They're o2 spacers with built in cats so the sensor won't throw a code

You are better off getting a tune to start. The tune adds way more power then downpipes would, especially donwpipes without a tune. A proper tune will get rid of the CEL also.

You should go catless as the catted options deteriorate over time and don't have the same performance benefits as catless by no accident.

Go catless its awesome. You only smell it when your sitting at a light for a while with the windows down and a tailwind. But get a tune first.

I just don't see that working. There is so little catalytic material in there it's not going to do anything. Might as well just drill a smaller hole so less exhaust gets in there.

O2 spacers work on some cars and not on others. I'm going to go out on a limb and say that the people that say the mini cat works are the ones who could have just used regular O2 spacers. The BMW is very, very sensitive and O2 spacers don't work. I've tried several, we used different lengths and hole diameters, nothing works. But on my Infiniti, they work great.

So $70+ shipping for mini cat which is basically $5 in O2 spacer + a few $$ in "catalytic" material. If they ever come out with a DP Fix for the N55, get that.
