Need to lower my car. Coilovers? Springs? Recommendations?

So... I finally decided after much debating with you forum members to lower my car.

Here's my situation: I don't want to go TOO low. I want to reduce wheel gap, WITHOUT compromising handling.

The reason i've been so skeptical about lowering my car is because I have a mazda rx8 DD thats lowered on 19" rims and while it looks nice, I scrape everytime I go over bumps. I do not want this with my bmw.

Also, I want to be able to take a full car load of people without scraping over every bump, and turn.

I'm leaning more torwards springs as opposed to coilovers simply because they are cheaper and I don't feel I really need coilovers. (if you disagree convince me otherwise.)

I definitely want to lower the front more than the back. And I don't want to lower the back too much, as it sits low already.

Please post up pictures of your lowered 335i along with specs and advice. Thanks!

Here is my cars ride height-

Exactly what i am looking to do as well. I don't like the gap in the front and was thinking about just doing springs but if i already have the sport package (2008 e92) will they lower it much at all?

The front is exactly what I'm looking for. How is the back? Does it ever rub?

And (if you don' mind me asking) How much where your h&r springs, and where did you get them from?

the rear wheels never rub..i used to have spacers in the rear but i removed them because they look tight enough to go without spacers..and yeah, i love how the front looks too, because it's pretty tight..i'll take some pics for you to see...
i don't remember how much the H&R cost, it was years ago when i had them on, but if you want you can check with Long Tran..he's in the LA area and he did it for me...both parts and labor....Long is on this board..do a search for him...

Get Coilovers, improve handling, ride comfort and customize height (This is a plus when you want to readjust the height after the fact). Car will handle 10x better than just the springs. The only drawback is the price! So if you have decided to do it, might as well do it right the first time!

OK....first thing you need to do is go into the suspension section of this forum. There is a sticky you can read through. Then if you have time read through as many threads as you can about each setup.

I'm on my 3rd setup. From what you have said so far, springs/shocks are suffice. Unless you have $$$ to spend, then you could consider coils. But from what I've read and my personal experience, they're overkill unless you want the ability to raise/lower and/or make it really stiff for whatever.

On E90's, eibach pro kit looks perfect for you. You are concerned with the rear..but remember, if you buy either kit, it will not be the same drop all around. When you buy the kit, you specify whether you have sports pkg or not.

You should look at the H&R cup kit too....

yeah coilovers is also another option...but like he said, costly. i go the cheaper route, but it's fine with me...i enjoy the ride just as much and it looks tight...lowered enough and not rubbing...just a bit of a pain going thru speed bumps though

i dont know if they ship or not, might wanna check with them.

Do a search of konig yellows..they're just shocks and yellow in color...and if you install them, it'll be underneath the body..you won't see them by just looking at the car. the color of your car has nothing to do with the konigs...
