it was a horrible game and the heat still managed to only loose by 3 points, but not cause we played a good game, but because dallas is old and can't match up to the heat, this was almost a repeat of game two and had this game gone down with another team the heat would have been roasted. dallas's two wins have come via the heat falling asleep in the 4th quarter not because dallas has made the great comebacks everyone talks about.

BTW: GOOOOO HEAT!!!!

Anyone? Pippen?

It was 15 points back in 1989

You guys are being a little harsh dont ya think?
Lebron is def one of the best in the league regardless of how he is playing right now. Cant take it away from the kid. Everyone has bad games, Bosh looked like shit in the second half! Wade didnt look the prettiest either, it was a team effort to throw it away the way they did.

I'm pulling for the heat but it sure looks like they are choking in these games when they fumble around in the fourth quater.

rofl. You go on youtube, search 'dirk nowitzki flop', post a regular season game situation in which you can't even be sure that he's flopping, and liken it to the big three deliberately contorting their bodies at every chance they get to try and deceitfully draw a foul. You aren't going to see someone like Lebron James fall to the floor that dramatically because he's athletic, not as cumbersome, and has 100x better body control (although Dirk has amazing body control while he is shooting 'his' shots). Dirk clearly got fouled, his momentum changed directions dramatically after he was stood up by Skola, he tripped over himself and was unable to stop his momentum backwards. Why would he go to the trouble to fall backwards 15 feet if he was already clearly fouled way before that? Are you that surpised that an unathletic, rangy, 7 foot tall man could get into that situation? Dirk Nowitzki is 1000x tougher than Lebron James could ever think about being. They are basketball players with completely different mindsets.

I can go on youtube and find flopping replays for scores of players (Mavericks included I'm sure), but that doesn't change the fact that those Heat players are making themselves look foolish (albeit getting the calls that they want) on the biggest stage in the NBA, and doing things that will possibly cause the commissioner to explore options stop it in the future (although that'd be one hard policy to implement).

What has happened to the game of basketball????

Thanks to Divac, who is the master creater of flapping, not even the best players in the world (LJ, Wade, Kobe, Gasol, K Durant...) are taking advantage of lack of rulling that would punish flapping.

If you look at these finals, pretty much each game is decided by onw posession. And that deciding posseion migth be a flap. This is very upsetting and hurting the integrity of the game. Commissioner should do something about it (technical foul if ref notices flapping. Or fine when the game is reviewed)

So is the opinion of the Houston-based commentators above or below 75% of the strength of your argument?

In your eyes, is there a distinction between making an actual foul look more dramatic (intentionally or unintentionally) and creating a foul by deliberately making body movements to create a false sense of contact?

Besides the obvious answer, the latter situation is a pre-meditated action. They drive to the basket and try to create contact, which I have no problem with. The issue comes when they create their own contact; It's the same thing as a soccer player falling down and acting hurt. Instead of continuing to drive to the basket, attempting to draw legitimate contact, and getting an and 1, they anticipate that there's going to be contact and they contort their bodies in a way as to deceive. I understand the importance of drawing fouls to get into the bonus and drawing fouls to get certain players into foul trouble, but you are blind to the ridiculousness because you are a Miami fan, simple as that.

This issue in the league, which seems to be getting worse and worse every year, has just really hit home for me and many others because of the fact that it's happening to our team and it happening in the Finals. I'm not saying that it's necessarily affecting the outcome of the series or anything like that, it's just really painful to watch. Call me a cry baby all you want.

never thought I would cheer for mavs. But go mavs go. I would cheer for the heat if LEBRON JAMES was not on the team.
