335i to M3 Convert - Couldn't Be Smiling More :)
Hi All-
Long time follower, first time owner Owned a very entertaining E92 335i, but finally pulled the trigger on a pristine 08' E92 M3 with all the options (except the headlight washers). Jerez/Blk. In a word. WOW. There's really no substitute for the M. I always knew the 335i couldn't hold a candle to the M, but now really driving this car I'm blown away... 5,000 miles review.... I'm still in awe of this car and its deftly balanced power. I love the n/a power of the car, and there's plenty of pull at the low end for pulling ahead of traffic or overtaking. Could it better, sure! Granted a SC/Kit would turn this car into a beast, but I bought the car for the n/a V8 and not for FI modding (I'll get that in the new M3 . As for color, for all the Jet Black followers out there, Jerez Black is amazing to look at everyday. I love Jet Black too (335i was JB), but Jerez Black / Carbon Black is my color now for the foreseeable future, the constantly shifting hues in different light make you feel like the car is a new shade of black at every turn. Net, happy happy camper with the current mods that make the car "mine". I'm trying to be careful not to upset the balance that the M division had intended for the car and its drivers. Current Mods Completed: -BBS CH -KW Sleeve Over Kit -UUC SSK -ACM OEM Exhaust Modification -Arkym Aerosport Diffuser -Active Autowerke Filter -BMW Alcantara Performance Steering Wheel -Lighted ZHP Shift Knob (DIY) -Black Satin M Edition Kidney Grills -Color Matched Reflectors -LCI Tail Lights Last edited by S65V8; 04-07-2012 at 07:37 PM.. Congrats!
I went from an E46M to 335i to E92M and couldn't agree with you more. If you asked me what I would pick between E46M and 335, I would hands down choose the E46M, let alone an E92M. Enjoy!

Congrats! I made the same switch about a month ago from a '11 E92 335ix to a '09 E92 M3 and couldn't be happier with the decision. It's just a different car all together.

Well done...I am seriously looking at another car in January, but I know for sure I will not have another N54. I am glad to hear a 335i made the jump and had no regrets. I am down to two cars and the M3 is one of them
