I've tuned with VGT turbos on powerstrokes. IMO if you want a boost curve that is easy to control seqeuntials are the way to go. You set a rpm that the big turbo can spool easily at and then use the smaller turbo for reduction in lag at low RPM's. On the diesels I didn't need to add any quick spool valves(Knifegate in this case) as there was more than enough flow for the smaller turbo. Because diesels run in a much narrower powerband. I would usually tune for boost from 1K-4K. Also it is very easy to allow the knifegate to open. You take the reading from tac signel at desired rpm and use it to trigger the gate. If you then use a variable resistor to slowly ramp the gate open signal. No complicated VGT controls. Also VGT and wastegates/BOV's don't play very well together in my experiance. One is always fighting the other.

Ok so I started to try and start sizing the turbos for this. I'm looking for more info. Does anyone have logs or dyno charts with the boost levels from launch to 4000rpm. I think a S400SX S374 with a 1.25a/r is pretty close to what is needed for the top end. But I don't really know what to run for boost on the low end so I'm having trouble sizing it. I was thinking an efr series(6258 or 6758) for simplicity and to minimize the piping.
