FS: BBK for 335i - Performance Friction !!

Due to selling my car, I'm now selling some of the parts that the new owner does not wish to keep. Among them also the big brake kit from Performance friction.

The kit is currently installed on my car in Luxembourg but will be removed in the next 2 weeks. It is in excellent condition, as good as new. I will ship it to any location in the UK for free.

This is a set that is just as good if not better than those from Brembo, StopTech or AP. Some key features (for more details see here: REVIEW: Performance Friction BBK):
  • monobloc caliper made out of aluminium
  • 4-piston design with one brake pad per piston
  • lightweight molybdenum iron alloy ventilated rotors
  • dimpled discs, 355mm front / 370mm rear
  • retains the original rear parking brake
  • stainless steel brake lines
  • fits under all 19" wheels and under quite a few 18" wheels (I drive it myself with OZ Alleggerita wheels in 18")
  • installed in 2012, driven for about 15.000km / 10.000 miles
  • brake pads are still ok, do not need to be replaced immediately (street pads from Performance Friction)
  • calipers are painted in blue (see photos)
  • Price new: about 6.000 GBP
  • My price (shipping included): 2.500 GBP

This is a very fair offer for a fantastic kit that is simply made for the track and looks great. If the buyer can even pick it up, a rebate of 100 GBP will be granted.

Good luck with the sale Marcel, as you know - I would absolutely love to buy these and run them, but I just can't afford to spend the money!

This is a bargain for someone though guys, don't expect to find this kit cheaper ever again!

Great brakes!!! GLWS

Amazing build too!

Did you manage to install an LSD plus all the M3 parts and meth etc?

Are you selling any of your other parts like Charge Pipe and Diverter valves?

Yes, the car has a Quaife LSD plus loads of M3 parts.

I'm actually selling the whole rear axle as well including the final drive Quaife unit, M3 rear sway bar and M3 rear subframe bushings. Meaning you can install the whole lot plug & play, no labour extensive installation is necessary. If anyone's interested in that, send me a PM. This rear axle would need to be picked up though, as it's rather large and heavy.

I'm also selling a STETT charge pipe plus Forge DVs (all in black) for 300 EUR, including a maintenance kit from Forge for the DVs.

I'm also selling the Öhlins kit, but 3 people have already declared their interest in that so it's unlikely that all 3 of them drop out.

I believe that it will fit as the connection to the drive shaft should be identical. However, it will change your gear ratios as these are not the same between a manual transmission and a DCT.

The brakes have now been removed from the car; below are a few photos of how they look.

Everything is in excellent shape; all 4 discs show little wear and can still be reused for thousands of miles. The brake pads also have a lot of miles left in them: The rear pads show very little use, the front pads are at about 50%.

This really is a bargain for whomever wants to upgrade the brakes. You get a high-end BBK in fantastic condition for half the price you would pay for it new.

1) Rear brakes

2) Front brakes

Reminder: 3000 GBP asking price, shipping in the UK included.

This is a great opportunity for anyone wanting a high-end big brake kit for far less than its original price tag.

Price has been adjusted to 2.700 GBP including shipping to the UK. This is an excellent opportunity to get ready for the summer season.

The BBK must go. Price lowered to 2.500 GBP including shipping. That's almost a third of the original price.

Discs + pads are still good and do not need to be replaced.

Marcel, does the new owner want to keep the carbon alpina-style airbox?

Do you still know where I can get it for a good price?

Cheers,
Kevin

FYI

BBK and airbox have been sold for a year.

Apparently Vargas Turbo has recently released turbo inlet tubes with bigger diameter that seem to work well. The airbox I have can be bought in Germany but is outrageously expensive (around 2.000 EUR).
