Thanks, guys, The 70-300L makes a good sunset lens with the compression at 300mm.

Got this guy this morning at the San Luis NWR near Los Banos California. It is a Tule elk, which are found only in California. 1D MK IV with a 100-400mm zoom.

Never mind compression Mark, that's a good sunset.

Thanks! Although my name is actually Ed. My Flickr handle is named after my two assistants, Lenny and Carl,as seen below. When I brought them home from the shelter, I decided I wanted a better camera to take nice pictures of the little buggers...and that's when my whole camera thing started

But they look so good in freshly delivered B&H box, better keep the boxes coming.

Ha! Ok, Ed. I'll remember that now. Our big black cat is named Max. He was Max when he was two days old and smaller than my wristwatch. Now he's 23lbs and has lived up to his name.

Tail of the Dragon in winter? And shooting while driving? Ain't you the risk taker.

Haha, well my buddy Charley gets credit for the while-driving shots. This shot was with my 6D, although I brought my XTi and slapped the 24-105L on it for him to shoot with, which was cool.

Actually my favorite photo from the whole trip was taken by my buddy of me and my new baby with Tail of the Dragon woods as a backdrop, with my 6D and 24-105L. I set it to auto ISO, shutter priority, and Bam! He got some good shots with it. I said man, you have a good eye for photography!

Speaking of night shots, I don't do many, but I can never resist this spot and the obligatory bridge shot if I go to Sausalito for dinner.

Brandywine Falls

Btw, I added grain for the mood I wanted to portray here... the 1D X does not have this much noise at ISO 800 (by a long-shot).

Nice shots, guys. I wish I had some landscape worth shooting.

The Cards showed up for spring training today.
