If not using the splitters leaves a gap, maybe color match them and have the cf lip.

Awesome man!! In plastic too!? Don't mean to bug, but even at a higher price than stock a lot of us would pay just to not have those mounting holes or gaps or whatever! And we all know we're gonna scratch the s#it out of the lips and replace them 2 times a year anyway lol

For reference - here are a couple of pics of a FRP plastic only lip developed by LightWeight in Germany - $500+shipping - ca. $600. Works perfectly for me - has a gloss black finish on top. I just did not want the risk of damaging CF on Houston's streets which is a distinct possibility!

That looks awesome. Can you PM me a link on where to get that? $600 is a great price point!

Went tho their website. Tried to look at pics and it led me to pics of the 135. Can you snap a couple more pics of your car with some close ups of the the connection points? Thanks.

Is this a DIY install? Any drilling?

The build quality is high - had a very minor fitment issue on one side which some wiggling and a very slight mod fixed b-- I am extremely picky on this so most would have ignored what I saw I suspect!

Yes you have to dig around, hence why I supplied other links - actually you get better results if you search on the German language version of their site! I will attach some more pics below

Easiest install although I have some extra attachment points that I still don't think I actually need. What is super cool here is that it is designed to not only fir directly to the car without taking any other parts off but it actually contours the small mud/debris flaps that come std on the front end. Vey nice. Simply requires you to screw in 8 attachment points - have an additional 6 extra bolts that truly seem overkill and I ave yet to use them (but prob should !)

I do like that lip above until I saw the 1" Home Depot plastic spacers used.

Yeah worried a bit about this but you honestly have to try pretty hard to even see than down there - really not an issue - and certainly strong enough plastic to do what they need to do.

PS: these four attachment points fit exactly the OEM screw holes in those locations - so again a plus for me and whether or not you dig the look is of course a personal choice - damn near invisible to me 90% of the time.

Yea I was just hating on their solution to the gap. I know those spacers are good enough.

Got ye - there is essentially no gap to the splitters and the 'gap' in the center again is honestly near impossible to see the majority of the time - it is enhanced in some online pics just to show you that area but you need to have your face flat on the ground or have the car on a 20 degree slope looking down at it to really even see this gap at all. To me it does not look out of place but simply an air gap you might expect for a piece of kit to have laminar flow across it. But again, a personal decision on cosmetics I guess.

PS: I do prefer the higher end look of the central mounting point of much costlier solutions (I bought the Perf lip thinking it would work without the splitters but of course now am that much wiser!!) - the LightWeight solution for a lip attached to the stock painted splitters is a compromise and agree that for me too not perhaps the sexiest looking solution in how it attached in the central area but overall looks fairly killer!
