Really think the old man dying has had a lot to do with the lazy manner in with which the the team is playing. Could you picture the Yankees playing that way if George was still around? I think Hank or Hal or one of them need to remind the team that the tradition and pride didn't die with the owner. Someone in the organization needs to rattle some cages and quick.
goodnight Yankee Fans........Go Yankees!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I seem to recall the Yankees looking much worse against the Tigers in '06 when the old man was still around.

Yep yep. talk it up. make excuses. Generalize. I flew up to New York on Monday morning at 7 and flew home at 6 the next morning. Up until last night when we put our foot up the Yankees' asses I had been up for 43 straight hours. So please don't generalize on the internet when you have no idea who you are actually talking to.

It's been fun to watch all of the hardcore life-long Yankee fans leave the stadium when the going gets tough in the last two games. Mass exodus.

Your fans laugh at a guy like Molina because in your mind no one is better than a-roid or Jeter, until he parks a three run home run on you and has to receive oxygen in the dugout after running the bases.

I love this thread. Can't believe the $200 million plus team is going down. Pretty embarassing for Yankees fans by the way, to see that guy in the pic above acting like a fool on National TV after the homerun (a legit homerun, BTW). Also, whats up with throwing trash in the Ranger's bullpen?

I have to say, that fat guy who intercepted the foul ball got VERY lucky that Hamilton ended up flying out- his life was about to change drastically for the worse if the Rangers score there and eventually win the game- everyone would point to that being the "turning point".

To be fair though, I'd be pretty surprised if we pulled it out tonight. My unemotional money would be on the Yankees.

You're not serious, are you? Come to think of it, judging by what I was hearing from Yankee fans, you probably are.

It is what it is but I think the Rangers will have the pedal to the metal like they always do. They want to end it, get home, watch the NLCS series and rest. I will congratulate the Yankess if they can win 3 in a row w/o a doubt.

One more for good measure..

Yeah right. Give the Rangers a break. Look at all the World Series they have won. Ugh, lets see. Oh, I forgot, lets see how many times they have been to the World Series. Ugh, lets see.
