Question which has been answered a BaBillion times
Sorry for not searching the thread first,
Which intake sounds the most intense/evil/mean? From the you tube videos it seems like the injen takes the cake. I know that videos are dependent on the recording device so I am asking the question here. (injen, BMS, AFE) Has anyone heard all three in person. Which one sounds more exotic? If you were a shallow (and cheep) BMW Rookie just concerned with turning heads at stop lights and beating up on the occasional TL and Civic, which one would you choose? |

For what it is worth, I have some experience with the AFE and I would say that it barely sounds louder than stock under most circumstances.
Also, and this may be more of a point for you to research, as you reach and pass the 400 whp mark, tuners suggest upgrading the intake. I recall the advice being to get a DCI, but I could be wrong. I'd imagine a DCI has more flow capacity. Regarding the 400whp mark, you can hit that with E85 (and a tune, of course) and no other mods save for an upgraded intake. If you plan on going this route, I'd suggest you call a tuner or two and ask. |

Just this, but it's old so the pictures are down. He does list results in the text though.
