Spied? BMW M1 Prototype caught undisguised (maybe)

Overall it's a good rendering, but there is still quite a bit wrong with it. Easily a product of PS. I don't know why there is any debate over its authenticity.

I just hope BMW does finally bring an R8 type car to the market. You know, something mid engined, packed with tons of horse power, 140k+ price range, just a super BMW basically. . . . I mean Im sitting here watching Audi bring out the R8 and the V12 TDI version, Mercedes has had their SLR Mclaren, and so on. Yet BMW hasn't made a super car in a while. The Z8 was nice, but no super car.

lol jk. I seen it on another forum. Somebody must have recognised that background from this pic and realised it was fake.

I knew it was fake for too many reasons:

1) When manufacters use existing models for prototypes, they dont modify all of the components to fit the prototype. eg. powedome, sidevents etc.

2) Pretty convenient timing. The M1 Concept has just been revealed.

3) The headlights as you pointed out!

4) It's an UNDISGUISED prototype and it's in polished up and left in the middle of a hangar.

Well the thing is that it's a surprisingly well done chop. Of course it's almost 95% e92 M3, but the way it's been molded is really creative to say the least.

The biggest giveaway of it being a chop is the rough C-Pillar section of the car. That, and the headlight housings.

But yeah, it's basically a warped M3.
