Desert Shoot today

I cleaned the car up nice, and figured I'd take some shots. Hope you enjoy!

And I liked this one even though it was underexposed and sort of flat... Still learning to play with the DSLR!!

I like them, I think with some minor color adjustments they could be fantastic

I drove out to AZ for a job. And AZ has this crazy 'vehicle registration tax' that is based on MSRP of the car. It's gonna be approx $700 for my car just for one year, so I'm holding off

Thanks for the compliments!

Nice location and a simple contrast to the car. Now all you need to is go back and wait for some glorious light.

Have a look at some pointers here - http://forum.e46fanatics.com/showthread.php?t=417604

It should give you a good starting point. Look forward to more pics.

Still shooting JPEG. I'm afraid of RAW since I know pics come out completely unprocessed and I don't know where to begin.

Look at DxO's Optics Pro software. I'll automatically convert your RAW to jpg (or tiff or your choice) while correcting for lens and camera-specific geometric, dynamic range, wb, etc. It's amazing how it increases detail, brings details out of the shadows and automatically gives you a corrected images in batches. You can then PhotoShop further, as needed.
