Post Downpipe Question

Hey what's up guys! I had a quick question, hopefully you guys can help. I am currently in the market for some downpipes on my 335xDrive. I know that the AR downpipes are definitely a go to, and VRSF are decent. However, in the my regional forum I came across someone who was selling VK MotorWerks downpipes. I was wondering if you guys have ever heard of them? Or know of anyone who has them installed. They are selling them for $300. From the few pictures they have on their website, the welds look somewhat clean. Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks again guys!

Also, Happy New Years to everyone!

You've got my vote for VRSF. I personally witnessed these go in with NO fitment issues, sounds and performance is excellent, but I have a non xdrive car, nonetheless, value for money is equal. In the end, you are still paying for a couple of welded pipes. AR is great, but too much, BMS from Burger Tuning makes great pipes as well. IMO, stay away from the cheap ebay pipes. Hit up Tiago from VRSF or Mike from N54Tuning and they can square you a way on a great deal.

Good luck.

I second going with VRSF dp's , great product and price. The VRSF dp's are around $400 so why bother spending $300 for the VK's that are used.

You bet! We've all asked this question, so don't worry we won't lead you astray, but it does pay to do your research on top of what you read/listen to on the internet.

Thank you for the reply! I'm sorry for the miscommunication in my original post, brand new they are $300 and the gentleman on the forum was selling them for $250, with 6k miles on them. I don't think I would put used downpipes in my car, I much rather new. But just reading about VRSF downpipes, it seems to be well received.

You never know what kind of condition used parts are until you get to see them first hand. Pictures never tell the full story imo. Get VRSF if you want to keep the cost down. Andrew @ ar design is an old friend and is local to me so I can vouch for his stuff personally, its awesome to say the least.

There is a huge market on this forum for used parts. It's how a lot of us get our feet wet w/o dropping loads of money on untested hardware.

As my installer put it, he LOOKED for used down pipes, because, well, he could guarantee they fit his car. But, your warranty and guarantees kind of go out the window in that realm. It's the price you pay to play.

I'd go with the VRSF xi downpipes for just a little more. Brand new and no risk.
