My condolence to the family.
Now wait till BMWNA get their hands on this "problem". I bet my next BMW will require me to place my head on steering wheel, holding the switches with both hands, and listening to voice prompts asking me if I am sure I want to open the top which can result in but not limited to decapitation in at least 5 languages in order to open the top.

I guess the owner will have to hire a new maid to clean up the mess the previous one left in the car.
