In the market for a new car, found this and fell in the love. Thoughts?

GT35 is way too small for 2JZ. It's not gonna make anymore power than what a S62 makes with a blower, plus 2JZ is a big chunk of iron. But for someone who wants to get serious with modding (headworks, bigger turbo, built engine) that's a nice choice since it's all done and ready.

GT35R is a small turbo for 2JZ, which is good for daily driver, IMO. It will spool instantly. If you want to chase big numbers, it is just a turbo swap away.

I hear you. But if DD is what potential buyers are after, they are better with the S62 plus mods. Better choice is a M52 528i, they can build one and make 500whp for half of the price of this car. IMHO it's a waste to pay 12K for a 2JZ + Getrag V160 swap and not using the engine's potential for big powers.

I hear you as well. I just happen to have a soft spot for 2JZ + V160 combo as I am a former Supra owner.

I'll go against the grain and say I wouldn't touch that car with a ten foot pole.

Not to mention, IMO putting in a Japanese engine is pretty stupid, I don't care how much power they make, it just seems wrong, especially in an M.

Honestly that's like a $13k car on it's best day IMO. Mods don't add value, especially foreign engine swaps in an M-car.
