I have also coded the boot release button (above the OBD socket) to close the boot with 1 press of the button as well as open with 1 press.

I've coded the following :-

Front fogs to come on with the welcome lights when unlocking the car
Digital speedo on the dash
Door LED's illuminate when in reverse
Front windows auto open/close when door is open
Changed iDrive start up animation
Video in motion enabled
Activated all the CODEC's so video from a USB stick now works in iDrive
Inbound mobile phone call plays phone ringtone
Changed gauges in Sport display from amber to red/silver
Changed BMW logo in black panel to M Performance
Changed mirror fold delay on remote open/close

The coding I really wish I could do (research indicates it may be impossible) is to turn on the white dash lights during the daytime (same as F10/11).

I tend to make 1 change at a time and activate and check rather than doing multiple changes. Each one worked first time without any errors.

I will see what else to code over the next few days.
Wow that's very impressive Steve. Your changes are very similar to my list!

I Must sort out that token and would really appreciate your help as you have kindly offered. I'm off to email tokenmaster...

I do - interesting to know.

Though I don't tend to fold them that often, always think of them as door ding defenders as a door will potentially hit them before the bodywork!!!

I fold them all the time. its a visual clue that i locked the door. However on the occasion i have the dog in the car i cant fold the mirrors as the internal motion sensor disable sequence doesnt allow it. pain in the neck when parked in spaces where damage could occur.

Further coding mods added

Turn off radio and nav when the drivers door is opened
Button on drivers side above OBD port now closes the tailgate as well as opens it
Audible sound when locking/unlocking - adds option in settings to enable
Auto start/stop remembers previous status

Still searching for the Holy Grail of enabling white dashboard lights to be illuminated during the daytime !

Daydriving_light-> standard: works, setting is displayed and works

That is very interesting and maybe what I have been looking for to turn the dashboard lights on during the daytime in my F31. I found DAYDRIVING_LIGHT in HU_NBT Section 3000 and mine is set to perm_off.

The other options are perm_on or standard - I will give this a try in the morning and fingers crossed it works

Thanks

I'm going to try this in the morning to see if it illuminates dashboard lights during the daytime - will report back.

Further research shows DAYDRIVING_LIGHT is for the DRL on/off option in Settings/Lighting

Do we want to try and reschedule this meeting? I've got somebody else interested in joining us.

I'm okay for this Sunday or the following weekend.

Hi There - would you mind if I joined in please?

Not got familiar with coding on the F30 yet and so would be interested to see how it is done and what kit you need.

I am keen to be able to code off ASS

I am based near Hinckley and can do any weekend.

Thanks & Best Regards,

Andrew

Sunday 14th is okay with me. Another Steve can't make it then, but I can arrange something offline separately. I too prefer a 10am start.
