I'm selling my KW Clubsport coilover suspension that I used for my '08 e92 m3 with EDC. 2 Struts have been damaged on the track, which is the reason I'm selling so cheap at $900 (obo). I contacted KW, and the cost to repair each strut is $195 each. You have to pay ship the struts to them, but they will ship back for free.

I don't want to deal w/ the hassle of sending them in and repairing them, so if someone else wants to do the work, here's your chance to get a $3000 suspension for around $1400! Local pickup only in Los Angeles please.

It's 3 way adjustable for cars equiped w/ EDC. I do not have the EDC delete module.

All the EDC module does is eliminate the error light from the dash, you cannot adjust the dampening via the OEM EDC buttons, only manually from the struts themselves.

That being said, what exactly is wrong with the struts? Are they blown? Which struts, front or rear?

Just FYI, the statement is not false. e92 M3's come with or without EDC. When you order KW Clubsports, you must specify whether or not your car had EDC or not. There are 2 different part numbers for the KW Clubsports for e92 M3's that have EDC, and e92 M3's that do not have EDC.

You are correct, you cannot adjust the dampening via the OEM EDC buttons. I do realize I made a typo, it should be 2-way adjustable (rebound and compression). I apologize if the way I wrote it was confusing, but I am not trying to represent to anybody that you can use the OEM EDC button to control the dampening of the shocks.

The struts that are damaged are the passenger front and rear struts. According to my shop, they said the only way to fix them is to send it back to KW to be re-barreled. Unfortunately they did not tell me exactly what is wrong with them. I do know that when the car was repaired, the ride was not smooth, so I had them put my stock suspension back on.

Yes they are 2-way adjustable, I did mention that 2 comments up in my reply.

The difference between the EDC and non-EDC is the diameter of the rear shock shaft. The EDC emulators are extra. Just as an fyi.

Can you please describe what is damaged in a bit more detail? Did you buy them new? How many miles have you put on them?

I bought the suspension brand new back in 2012. I probably put about 3000-4000 miles on them, I didn't really keep track of the mileage. But I believe I did about 4-5 track days on them. Most of the mileage was from commuting to the tracks, as this car was not my daily driver.

I spun out and went off sideways on the track, so the wheels on the passenger side hit a mound of dirt. The wheels took the grunt of the damage, but I could not drive the car off the track and had to have it towed to the shop.

There does not seem to be any physical damage to them (see pictures posted), except for a small cracked plastic piece that should be easy to replace. However, when my shop repaired the damage to the car, I rode in the car with the shop technician and the ride was bumpy on the passenger side. Part of that was due to the wheels being bent. After I swapped out the wheels, I did not ride in the car with them, but they told me the ride was still bumpy. I likely needed to send those 2 shocks back to KW to get them re-barreled.

Unfortunately I can only rely on my shop's opinion because I do not have the ability to accurately assess the damage on my own. This is why I am selling them for cheap.
