E92 AWD XI ST S3 coilover v2.1 Review

New to E90post and new to the East Coast!

Just got my car back from Sonic Tuning (thanks Ray!), had the S3 coilover v2.1 installed. Just based off of first impressions (30 miles + a quick stop for some chinese food) the car feels much tighter. Stock suspension was pretty soft or mushy - whatever you want to call it ... felt like driving on balloons. Car feels a lot tighter, body roll is substantially decreased, overall drive feel and response is much better! Once I get more miles on the suspension and have some light to take pictures I'll throw up more detailed info.

Disclaimers:
1) This is my DD, so it's not the most aggressive setup out there
2) My other car is an RB powered s14 with fully upgraded suspension, so basically what I'm trying to say is that that is my point of reference - I'm not coming from a minivan and I'm not coming from a Ferrari.

Update: Some Pics

Looking forward to some pics. I remember the earlier versions had issues getting low in the front

What makes them different from the original version?

Threw a couple of quick pics up, I got about a 2" drop, my ground to fender height is just around 24.5"

Looks great

I've been thinking of going with the new S3's - the old versions didn't really lower that much - I'm not looking to slam my car, but I wanted it to go a little lower than the old S3's allowed.

They are on sale now too

I have read reports of some problems with the sway bar end links no longer being of correct length with the new S3's - did you have any problems at all with the install, or run in to end link problems?

I purchased the old ones - they'll let you swap out the fronts if you were on initial GB. I'm hoping to head over there to swap out soon.

Hopefully sway end links won't be a problem - I can't imagine they would - you can opt to keep same height as the previous version.

Thanks ! I didn't have any issues with the install ... and I haven't had any end link problems. If you wanted to go lower I would definitely recommend these coilovers ... I know you aren't looking to slam your car but you can get prettty low. I am definitely not disappointed.

Ah man ... I'm not sure I don't think so, but it's worth asking. I got mine from sonictuning, they are pretty cool and are pretty willing to answer any questions!
