Me, problem free since 35k miles, then it just came all at once after they did the recall.

With a late 2010 build MY 2011 and 32K miles, have not seen an SES light either (yet). Our E46 did not go that long without an SES. It's only been back to the dealer for routine maintenance and recalls. I also have achieved 40 MPG when not using the AC. We've actually hit 42 a few times.

How are you calculating the gas mileage? Do you use the trip computer or use the actual mileage over gallons used? How do you set up a fuelly account to track the mileage?

You register for an account. You could click on my fuelly and find it from there.

I track mine by my trip computer every fill up and submit the data to fuelly. You could use the odometer as well.

By hand: gallons since last fill up using odometer. Even track it on a spreadsheet with all my other vehicle costs.

ok amigos the CORRECT calculations for liters to gallons is 3.78(liters) to one U.S. gallon why I say this because we use liters down here in Puerto Rico, this change came about almost 30 yrs ago, stupid government doing its BS!!!

And yes the correct way to calculate is by hand i.e. fill out your tank, put the odometer in "0" then when you refill your tank, whatever amount you fill your tank up to divide it by the amount of mileage in the odometer i.e. filled up tank with 10 gallons and odometer marked 320 miles ok, 320 divided by 10 = 32 mpg
