KW HAS M3 Install

Recently we had a Mineral White F80 M3 in for a few cosmetic and suspension upgrades, and we grabbed a few photos of the KW Height Adjustable Spring system being installed. Enjoy!

Do these improve handling to a degree, or is just like springs where it actually detracts from the natural balance of the car.

What size is the front strut top hat nut? I need to order that special socket to do my springs.

It's my car. Here is where I have it set. This is the lowest setting level in the front and about three quarters of the way down in the rear. Since the KW springs are a progressive like OEM, the ride feels very stock like just lower. I wouldn't say the handling is improved, but I don't detect much of a difference. I also has 15mm spacers front and rear.

It's going to be a bit sketchier when my RKP front lip shows up. Last think I want to do is jack up a $1,500 lip. I guess we'll see soon.

very nice! I plan to drop mine a bit lower now once I go back for alignment. I think I'm only half way down on mine (the rears).

Would you say the car handles any worse? Hard to justify the price of coilovers cause I don't care so much about the handling benefits (well enough to make me wanna drop 2k+) as much as I do about the looks, but I'm also not trying to make the car handle worse. Thanks.

could you post pics down the side (from the front or rear)... so I can see where the wheels sit from the fender for "poke"? I have 15mm spacers on my F80 and I'm shopping suspensions now.

Thanks Money!

That is the perfect ride height I really don't understand why folks slam their cars to a point that the wheels disappears under the fender. looks hideous. Your gap on the front looks perfectly dialed in. Do you have adaptive suspension?

I can detect some more understeer versus stock, but I wouldn't say it's bad. I don't think I would want a sleeve kit if I were going to the track. I'd probably want fully aftermarket coilovers or stick with stock.

Thanks Money!
I wanted 12mm in the rear. At first, I didn't like it. From certain angles you it looks like the rear tires are sticking out, but it's grown on me. I've decided to keep to 15mm.
