K&N Air Filter

My car's due for a service and also need to change the air filter.

Is it worth going for a K&N Air Filter, I know there won't be much difference (if any at all!) in performance, but for the extra £15-20 is it worth it?

Are they any better than the ones from EuroCarParts?

Technically, with most K&N filters, they're wash and re-use. So yes, they're a bit more expensive, but you never really have to replace them again. Just buy the cleaning kit, which lasts forever, and you're done.

I have installed one since 2011 (every car that I owned had a performance air filter). no difference in performance and you have to clean it every 5k-6k in order to maintain it in tip-top condition so consider this if you ll install one.
I also read that maf sensor will become dirtier with a performance filter but I didn't have any issues till now.

If you want if for performance dont bother, if you want to know exactly why fire away.

I wouldnt use one on my car personally regardless of the reuse element.
