Help with E30 Diesel project

Im thinking about getting an e30 convertible and doing a diesel swap with one of the newer volks wagen tdi 2006-2008 engines .. How hard would this be im not an experienced mechanic just a big car enthusiast.

It would take a lot of work. But anything can be done with enough money.

If you ever wanted to use an older VW TDI engine (pre 1998), these guys make an adapter to bolt up a 22R style Toyota transmission. That would at least cover the engine and trans selection and mating.
