Question ECU chip tuning for m5/m6 785hp (666whp)

I've heard many good things about ECU tuning group, cost = $2500, what do you think?

Which is a play on Burger Motorsport's JB piggyback system and from what I hear, lacks features that the JB provides for around ~$500.

BMS don't give as much gains, and I have a local ECU tuning group dealer here 5 miles away from my place.
Right now I'm waiting for Dinan's ECU to come out (should be out in jan-feb) that way I can keep the warranty, but this is tempting.

Stage 2 is looking promising. Again, for the price it's the best thing out there IMO.

It is a piggyback system and I would be VERY cautious about installing one that is generating 660+whp...which presumably is 120+whp over stock. What sensors does the ECU Tuning tie into? The biggest problem so far on the S63TU isn't fooling the DMEs to produce more boost....but getting the DMEs to deliver more fuel. If they haven't resolved that aspect of the tuning process, I would be hesitant to put that much power down.

I spoke to Jags yesterday who is with ECU tuning group. Call him directly with questions. Apparently they have done over 1000 tunes and some dealerships offer their tune

They have tuned many m5/m6, customers love it, the only problem is that they're still working on removing the top speed governor.

Actually they are getting 785hp at the crank and 665-667 at the wheels. They just recently updated their software for m5/m6, and called it stage 2

Here is a video of the guy with the supposed 665whp M5. To be honest, the time it takes him to get to 100mph is SLOWER than the time it takes me to get to 100mph with downpipes, intake and mufflers. I have vboxed my car and have data to back up my claim. My car is making less than 600whp...so that 665whp seems to be off.

Idk why a tune of this sort is necessary anyways...might as well just get the comp package if youre going to mod the entire car anyways IMO...This car feels almost perfect to me in every way minus the exhaust.

I ordered Meisterschaft turbo back so should be getting comp pack numbers with that hopefully.

My local ECU dealership promised me a free dyno run if I decide to go with them.
Right now I'm waiting for AMS catted downpipes, and Akrapovic exhaust to come, looking forward to install, and hopefully Dinan will make their ECU tune soon.

Apparently all you have to do is remove the charcoal filters in US cars to get 15-20 hp...Thats enough to get comp package numbers right there...LOL

I purchased BMS stage 1, it will keep my warranty and give it about 650 horses at the wheels + AMS and Akrapovic will bring it up close to 700WHP. I'll post my review on it for sure.

Stage one with intake and DP's will not get you 650whp . The one guy who got 630whp was running extra boost over stage 1 and maxing out the safety margins of this "tuning " approach . You need full control over fueling /timing to safely do 650whp and up even with supporting mods . Just trying to keep your expectations realistic . You can make a dyno read anything you want though like ECU tuning group so ....

lets say 635 horses at the wheels, + AMS Downpipes and Akrapovic exhaust and Gruppe M intake, should be well close to 700whp, and over 800hp crank. Manhart racing is basically same stuff (intake + exhaust + dp) + (Manhart ECU)
