Is the P3Cars Vent Any Good?
I am wonder if this is worth a buy to show boost and other information for the money. If you have any other ideas on this I would like to see what other people have done.

I have the newer one with a jb4g5. I have an n54 so i use the manual boost tap for my boost readings (the piggyback throws off the correct psi if reading it through the obd2 port. I absolutely love it though. Lots of different options and it displaying codes is just an added benefit

It can't use the reading off canbus because that reading is adjusted at the JB4 level. It's intercepted so the car still sees the same old stock boost rating. You need a vac source under the hood to get around that, and the gauge has a spot to plug a small vac hose in + the setting to use that.

If your running a COBB tune you'll get the actual boost reading the DME sees because cobb modifies the software in the dme to raise boost unlike the piggy backs.

You can't have the P3 and the Cobb plugged in at the same time but you can use the P3 with the Cobb flash installed. That's what I do.

you're not likely to have a problem with the other things because most of them aren't being intercepted and the rest usually end up just being passed through.

No you can't use the P3 for other functions as long as the JB4 is active. They will fight over canbus bandwidth and the jb4 will keep resetting. You can only use it as a boost gauge in analog mode with a physical boost line. Provided the version you get supports that, mine didn't.
