I initially did feel bad for the guy before I scrolled down and saw that this jerk parked in front of a hydrant. People like this give BMW owners a bad name !

In some cities it's not illegal to park in front of a fire hydrant. It's a "park at your own risk" deal.

And they should!!! I think if you are dumb enough to park in front of a fire hydrant, you deserve to have your windows broken out.

You would think they could just run the hose under the car...I would think that's quicker and easier than busting out the windows.

Looks like the rear of the car was also dragged away from the curb to allow more room for the hose to be attached. Either that or the jerk who parked the car there can't park worth a damn either!!

He would have been able to park better if it weren't for the Xfinity truck in front taking the space. The lesson here is that Comcast ruins absolutely everything.

Notice the huge dent on the driver side panel rearward of the door? That's some damage. Haha.

The hose needs to be kept as straight as possible to maintain optimal water pressure. Illegal or not, park at your own risk.

Agreed, but that's why the hydrant has three ports. The owner disserved the damage though.

That valve is not a three port tee. Its a hydra-assist. It allows them to hook up a second pumper in a closed loop to increase the water pressure to the primary pumper. One side goes to the pumper, the other is the return feed from the pumper. The water then goes straight out to the fire/primary pumper.

I wonder how would Boston Fire deal with it, if instead of a E92 the BMW was an armored E38 750iL, with its bullet resistant windows...

Exactly 👍 plus they will be able to move it around more instead of being boxed by two windows. Two wrongs don't make a right.

Looks like a regular dry-barrel hydrant to me with three ports (I wasn't referring to the valve). The fire department decided to use the larger storzs quick connector on the 5" main and run the hose through the rich-boy's illegally parked BMW. Had that been the Chief's wife's car, they'd gone off the side port to the pumper.
