Dissapointed in Velocity Motoring

Just wanted to share some of my dissapointment with Velocity Motoring. I purchased a set of wheels about 4 months ago for a customer and the finish began to peel on two wheels...it took them over a week to respond to my inquiries about warranty. They finally responded and said they'd replace the wheels but I had to give them a credit card number so they could bill the wheels...then upon receipt of the old wheels they'd credit the card.

So I did this with our company credit card. Furthermore I questioned them about offering some sort of compensation for paying our technician to swap the tires from the damaged rims to the new rims. Nothing...I've contacted them on 3 seperate occassions inquiring about compensation for mounting and balancing and they won't even as much as respond. Even if they plan to tell me no...at least TELL me no. I don't purchase a lot from them, but this also isn't the first set of wheels and tires I've purchased either.

It's all fine and dandy to offer great customer service when your customer is buying, but to drop the ball when it's warranty time is poor. This experience has led me to make the decision to never even consider VMR again when pricing wheels and tires to my customers.

Others here may have had great experiences with them, but their decision to ingore my repeated inquiries have soured me quite a bit.

Cheers!

We've already addressed the customer's inquiries prior to discovering this thread and unfortunately have not received a reply to our e-mail or message left on voice mail.

It is apparent that emails from this particular email address is having issues arriving to us reliably. If every single e-mail sent to us isn't being delivered (or delivered late), we do have a full staff able to take phone calls (from our offices) on Monday to Friday during business hours.

In regards to the response time, all of our emails are forwarded to our iphones/blackberries 24/7. If any customer does not receive a response in a timely manner, it might mean that the email was not delivered to our office.

Lastly, our warranty issue:

Wheels needing warranty service will have to be returned in order for us to inspect and exchange them out. However, if this causes a great inconvenience to the customers, we are able to ship out a new set (with a return label) as long as we have a credit card authorization, which gets cancelled when the original wheels come back.

I hope this addresses everyone's concerns and I do consider this customer issue closed, presumably to the customer's satisfaction. If there is any other questions, Call, PM, Email, IM, etc.

+1 for VMR's excellent customer service. I had a similar incident involving the finish of my wheels. I simply sent in photos, and they approved the replacement wheels, BOOM!! End of story!!! Good stuff VMR!!!

What type of cleaning solvents did you guys use? Also, have you driven with those wheel through winter in a snowy area where road salt is common?
