Lug bolts

Has anyone tried the no rust lug bolts from World Motorsports? Are they any good?

http://www.world-motorsports.com/b/5965246011

Any recommendation for replacing my rusted lug bolts without breaking the bank? Gorilla?

spacers

BMS spacers and bolts are nice, but really don't want to put spacers at the moment. I would like to get similar BMS bolts though.

Yes, BMS extended lug bolts are very good quality as I own a set. Contact Jason @ BMS and I'm pretty sure he'll sell them to you separately.

I never really had any problems with the factory bolts rusting - I'm running stud kit/extended lugs now...

Thanks this seems to be just what I needed. Are they good for protecting against rust/oxidation? I think the rust happened after one car wash at the BMW dealership. I'm not sure why a car wash would cause the rusting/oxidation.

Jason at BMS only sells the bolts with spacers.

I have never dealt with their bolts before, but they do sell locks that we've used, and the locks have been great.

lug bolt length

It looks like both the Otis Inc and the Rad sold there have anti-oxidation coating. I am trying to order, but a little confused about the length. Your links showed 12x1.5mm, 26mm shank length. The Otis Inc LA rep recommended the 12x1.5mm, 28mm shank length for Rad or Otis Inc. bolts. For the wheel locks he recommended 12x1.5mm, 25mm for Otis or 12x1.5mm, 26mm for Rad. I'm also not sure if the Rad wheel lock is the same silver color as the Rad lug bolt, does anyone know?

So, what shank length should I be getting?

Also, the rep said Otis and Rad are equal, but especially for wheel locks is one better than the other? And aesthetically which is better: Otis black or the Rad silver color for OEM BMW sport wheels?

Thanks for your help!

26 or 28mm length

I think part of the confusion may be what is highlighted by this posting: http://www.e90post.com/forums/showth...highlight=26mm

28mm shank length is equal to 26mm thread length. Any thoughts VWRwheels?

The wheel lock is M12x1.5x25, which probably means 25mm thread length. But is the 1mm too short bad?

From the bottom of the cone to the end of the threaded portion of the bolt (shank length) should be 26-27mm. I don't think one is going to be better than the other though. Just depends on whether you want black bolts or silver bolts.
