My CA just told me that according to BMW's official release, this doesn't apply to M3's (and doesn't appear to apply to M's in general).

Fox News regularly states that we are in a stagflation or deflationary period at present. Back on topic, though, there is zero justification for a price increase.

Well, looks like I won't be getting another BMW after this one. With the way they are increasing prices I just won't be able to afford another new 3. Oh well

Well, not everyone can afford to own a BMW....

1% is very low compared to previous years. So $400 will keep you from buying a BMW 3 Series? Excuse me please.....

It's the way it is, everything costs more money every year!

even with the 2011 increase, a 328 still costs less than it did in 2009...

example:

2009 328xi, zcw, zpp, zsp, 205, 322, 522, 677, 655, PDC, metallic paint, shades & HD radio =$48,945

2011 328xi with increase: exact same level of options $46,575... plus this includes ipod usb, and an alarm

it would be the same with any 1 series as well. Basically only the 335's, X5/X6. Z4's & 7's may be slightly more
