My 2008 335i caught fire added picture 04/14/10

Do you all know of anyone's BMW that caught fire? This happen to me last week after I was forced off the road and hit a ditch. Look at last picture this is the ditch/culvert that caused all the damage, not sure cause of fire.

call BMW NA. You may be entitled to compensation (new car) if you can prove that this is BMW's fault due to a design flaw. Hope you didn't have any mods that could have caused it. Hope your insurance company helps you out.

If there is a defect, this is a safety concern for other 335 drivers. Call BMW NA so they can take a look at it. if there is a concern, a recall may be in order. If BMW isn't responsive, tell them your going to contact the BBB and Dept of Transportation and Safety, etc.

I know someone who has a new 3 coupe. I think it's a 320 though, not sure. Anyway, it went in for a service and the next day the engine bay caught fire. This happened a month ago.

Keep us updated.

Man... that almost looks like a scene from a 24 episode where the terrorists tries to blow up Jack Bauer's BMW with a bomb. I'm glad you're ok though.
