*Official* Bimmerpost photo contest no.77 | "Pink Floyd songs!"

Description: Well i love Pink Floyd. Who doesn't right? And i've been listening to Live in Gdansk album today so here it is: Choose a title from a Pink Floyd song and make it come to life in a photograph. The title will form your title!

SUBMISSION WILL CLOSE ON 29/09/13

RULES:

1. Any interpretation of the theme that falls within Bimmerpost.com rules is welcome.
2. You must be the person that took the photo. Photos taken prior to the start of the contest are acceptable as long as you are the one that captured the image.
3. One submission per contest, and you cannot resubmit a photo that you've submitted before in a previous contest.
4. Images must be no larger than 1024 px in any direction. Links to larger images are allowed but you must have one that is no more than 1024 px for the poll.
5. All contestants must host their own pictures (which includes hosting them on Bimmerpost).
6. All images must have a title.
7. While post processing in Photoshop is allowed, adding or removing parts of the picture is not. In the event a photo is suspected to be "photo-chopped," the contestant will be asked to provide the original picture.

Wow I love this theme -- definitely not the run of the mill photo contest theme, that's for sure.

Time to bust out the Pink Floyd and start listening for inspiration!

Are you sure? Maybe the boys were pressing buttons when you went to get some string?
Very nice clouds.

Two weeks is one week too long as it is. These contests need to be shortened to one week, IMHO. Others may feel differently, which is fine.

Maybe 9 days? That will always encompass a weekend while shorten the time frame by 4 days. use those 4 days for voting, choosing a new theme and it's all turned around in 2 weeks. The schedule below will encompass two weekends.

Friday post a new theme.

Submissions deadline is the second Saturday 12am PST.

Voting thread posted on the second Sunday.

Voting ends on Wednesday 12am PST.

Friday post a new theme.

This makes the easy part of the logistics (posting a theme) happen during the week. Gives 1.5 weekends for shooting. Makes the difficult part of the logistics (posting the voting thread) happen during the weekend rather during the work week. Voting happens during the week and only lasts 3 full days. Most of the voting threads run stagnant after a few days anyway.

That would work if winners would start new contests on time. But that doesn't always happen, so the scheduled gets thrown off. But basically, yes, this would be a good schedule.
