Edit: Just noticed the front bumper is all pixelated or whatever it's called... all well.

The pixelation is due to the quality of the of the original pic not being that great. IMO, the original was a tad too dark in some spots, that is why I lightened it up a bit. Also, as mentioned, the quality wasnt that great, so I sized the pic down some.

I didn't take this pic, but I cleaned it up for my sister's friend.

Before

After

As I'm looking at it now, I should have warmed up the skins tones some in the after pic. Although I think my work PC's monitor may be set warmer than my laptop here, because I don't remember the skin tones being so stark when I originally did this.

Yeah, she wanted the ghosts gone. (Sorry about the huge pics. Didn't realize they were that big. I've resized them.)

I personally feel the contrast might be a little high, it's showing features on their faces that might not be there

and a fun thing to do, maybe try some catch lights in the eyes just to brighten it up

But otherwise, looks good.

Beginning to play around with LAB color. Amazing what you can rescue using it.

Just did this for fun, it is by no means supposed to be a good picture. But i just wanted to demonstrate to anyone who doesn't shoot in RAW file format, why it's a good idea.

Before & after:

PS The haze in the photo is due to the actual distance i was shooting from, it still shows up in properly exposed pictures just like in this one. So don't attribute that to the post processing of the near black picture.

24/7

I'm not biased one way or the other, but at night when people have lights on, it's easier to see into rooms...
