BMW 2006 325i Headlight Upgrade

Hey guys. I was wondering if it is possible to upgrade my headlights with HID and or angel eyes. My 2006 dose not have the bi-xenon and the angel eyes.(I thought the angel eyes were standard 2006 and on, but I guess not.)

Your best option is a full headlight replacement like the Projector90s. These are projector based headlights with preinstalled angel eyes and HIDs that are a complete kit with everything you need.

They come from the factory with halogen Angel Eye rings, we offer the LED bulb upgrade as an option. We also offer HID low beams (4300, 6000, or 8000 Kelvin Color Temps) and error canceller units to get rid of any errors that the HIDs may cause (not required for all vehicles, but I recommend purchasing them just in case you need them, you can always return them if you don't).

Note that all NA Spec vehicles will require the purchase of the Euro-Spec turn signal bulb socket/holders as the OEM NA Spec ones will not fit these Euro Spec headlamps.

Here’s some installed pics courtesy of our customers.

We also now offer them in an LCI style with LED turn signals on the side.

The inner beams are halogen and we offer the Xenesis Tru Match Bulbs to change them to a whiter output.

Pricing is on our site but you can also drop me a PM if you have trouble finding them. Installation is like an OE headlight replacement, you will remove the bumper and unbolt the factory headlight. These also have a wiring harness that plugs into the factory setup and now come with V2 Error Cancelers and resistors for the LED angel eyes to prevent bulb out warnings.

Hey Nick, I've looked at these on your site for awhile now. Is there any errors with the LED turn signals? Or does the cancellation kit for the LED AEs correct the turn signal thing also?

No errors with the LED turn signals, these have resistors to prevent that. The error canceler is for the HID setup, we have resistors preinstalled for the LED angel eyes that prevents an error.

Thanks for the info, if I decide to keep my car, I will call you guys! I refuse to pay the dealer $800 to replace my left headlight because the turn signal is missing a piece. I'd rather spend that replacing both.

Make sure your Jay Lo's are error free. Non error free Jay Lo's are very annoying!

The HID headlights it offers, can you just buy them from somewhere else? It says $150 and I've seen them for around $40. Is it possible?

It is possible to retrofit another brand HID kit in there. Ours come with a warranty and are solid quality but are more expensive for that reason. If you are after cutting costs as much as possible, there are cheaper HID kits out there.

So all I would have to buy is the $300 headlight, and the canceling device?

$300 wont get you OEM. OEM with everything you need will be closer to $1k these days. My setup was about $1200 but that was a while back and my headlights were almost brand new.

Jlevi's product is worth every penny. They are experienced BMW guys with a love for their customers and they backup all their products ironclad. Don't fall for cheaper product that might not be a fraction in quality and warranty. A new set of headlights can run you upwards of 2000 bucks or more- why trust them to anything less than great guaranteed product? JLevi for the WIN bro!

BavarianX sells the DEPO lights with their LS3 LED rings and you don't need HIDs just upgrade the bulb. They offer it for like 20$ more. Price shipped for me was 505$ after negotiating

These are better than I expected! All plug and play! Only took 1-2 hours to install and no problems what-so-ever! I tried to take pictures of them on in direct sunlight in one of the pictures and the other one is it turned on in my garage at night. (Hard to get a picture on the iPhone since they are so bright!)

Hope this helps. Can't go cheap on these bad boys!

2006 bmw 325xi Headlight upgrade . Projector90 Headlight Set [PRO90] from jlevistreet

Projector90 Headlight Set [PRO90] from jlevistreetwerks
I got my lights install last night. Long Story short:
1)Pretty cheap feel,Cheap plastic and cheap headlight, they shake a lot, again they are cheap made, going over a bumpy road and the lights beam is all over the place, tap the headlight a little and you can see how much they move.
2)for almost $500 dollars i was expecting something a little bit better, guess not.
3)brought the car to a "professional" place to get the lights install.
4)One of the ballast was flickering,it was no good(jlevistreetwerks)offer to send a new one,it will take 3-5 business days or "I" could pay for the overnight. Finally they took some money off for the new ballast i had to buy from the shop installing the lights.
5)We had some minor rain last night, this morning i see some water in the head lights(look at the picture)there's a lot of condensation in the headlights.
6)now the other ballast stop working,so i have only one headlight to drive home tonight.
jlevistreetwerks are close today Saturday 12/10/11. So i will have to wait until Monday to see what they can do or going to tell me.

I basically see just two options for ideal light output, nice Angel Eyes, etc.

1. Contact ProjecM http://www.***************.com/halog...conversion.php and have them do a OEM conversion for you. That'd be the best way to go, but it'd be upwards of $1,200 for Pre-LCI Xenon and upwards of $2,000 for LCI Xenon.

2. DEPO Projector90 from Umnitza with the FX-R Retrofit and Orion V2 Angel Eyes. http://www.umnitza.com/projector90su...ir-p-1167.html I have this setup, and it cost me $800. The cutoff is really nice and sharp, and overall I'd rate the headlights as 8/10. I'd only rate the retrofit as 6/10, because the FX-R projectors Umnitza uses are not THAT great. They're still 1000x better than halogen though. But overall, the headlight design, fitment, Angel Eyes, etc. are perfect!

Either way, you're still going to have to code out a bunch of errors due to your car being a 2006, but it's easier than it sounds.

Damn, I'd be pissed if I shelled out that amount of money + install and that is the product I received.
