Someday. I need to pick up that cheap G Canon and remove the filter and then I'll be IR'n.

Edit: If I were there, I wouldn't be complaining about the trade winds ;-) maybe gas prices.

Next you'll be buying a C350. Enjoy your new camera.

There is the DIY convert route too. I have a couple old cameras that I could convert. It sounds a little tricky, but guess that it's possible. There are YouTube videos detailing the conversion which could make the job easier.
I didn't mean to sound like I was complaining, but the trade winds have been pretty gusty lately. Gas prices are over $5/gal on the outer islands.

pfffft, we've been paying over 5/gal up here in canada for a long time now

we've been lucky for the last few months to be below, but we'll be well above it again in no time

costs about 5.50 for me to fill up with 93-94 octane here at the moment. I'm expecting closer to 6$ in the summer

How do you guys clean CPL filters? Seems like an impossible task to do it without smearing.

I use a lens cleaning pen. If I get a smear that it can't clean, I hit it with a lens cleaning pad (alcohol) and then when it dries, I use the carbon end of the pen.

I find the cleaning pens are about as good as it gets for most stuff on the lens.

Canon is running its 15% off and $5 flat rate shipping deal again. I wish I were in a position to buy the 5D MkII. Just under $1600 shipped.

Nah. Not even making much use of the 7D these days. Just doesn't seem to be anything worth shooting, although there was an impressive sunset tonight. I was out walking with Wifey, though. Sans camera.

I wish... you got about $15k to give me (notice, I'm not asking for a loan)?

I haven't had any issues cleaning my CPL with some lens cleaning fluid and a microfiber cloth
