Maddad Whisper Axleback Exhaust Installed on N54 - Black Tips - Semi-HQ Pics/Vid
Installed yesterday on my 2008 135i, along with an E93 M3 Front Sway Bar.
This is the black ceramic coated tip version (original run with single wall tips). Fitment is spot on, sound is excellent, and couldn't be happier. Maddad midpipes are next to bump up the volume 30-50% + add a drop of power. The exhaust lines up perfectly on all hangers, and the stock vibration damper and donut gasket fit like a charm. As for the sound:
P.S. - Please ignore the semi-long crank (3 seconds)... no need to comment about AND sorry about the iPhone quality video. In case it isn't obvious, the video was recorded in a garage with the garage door open. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RB0e15XwUP0 |

It definitely sounds a lot deeper than stock on start up! Nice exhaust and good luck with the midpipes

Looking good, Scott. Was thinking of calling you yesterday as you wanted to hear the full Maddad, but weather was crummy as you know, so used the opportunity to finally install the Alpine demon eyes. Welcome to come anytime and hear it.
Here is a video my mod shop put together on the exhaust, and dyno. It has gotten a bit deeper since then as one would expect as it has 'settled'.

Very nice, the E9x FSB and maddad exhaust are the only mechanical mods I'm looking to do on my 135i to go along with my JB+.
Well, with the exception of putting 255s in the back once I roast the run craps. Is it noticeably louder inside your house when you start the car up? I live in a townhouse and I worry that my neighbors will get pissy if they hear my exhaust every morning. I'm guessing it's nowhere near as bad as my STi is on cold startup at least. |

It is 20-25% louder (in my estimation) than the stock exhaust with the golf tee mod. It quiets down to stock idle levels within ~30 seconds. It will not bother the neighbors unless they sleep on top of the garage directly. And even then, it may be questionable.
Trust me.... |

Sounds great! And I don't consider that a long crank at all haha. You have absolutely nothing to worry about if you think that crank was trouble
