E92 335i Muffler Delete questions?

I am uninformed on how muffler deletes work. I guess my first question would be why I need new tips for a muffler delete? Second, how much would an average delete cost (2008 e92 335i 2DR). Third, is drone really that bad? Fourth, what are some ideas for tips, I've heard of Cyba, and I like the matte finish they have. Any sizing information in particular, I prefer larger tips. Thanks a lot guys.

Drone isn't bad unless you remove your cats. You can reuse your factory tips but why not upgrade to something that looks better. Ideas for tips are Cyba and Disma both cost about the same.

Price for labor and parts were about $150 (What I paid)

Tips I used are 4" Cyba tips (Most tips are about 140-180 price point)

it would look like this without tips

I am not sure what it cost to get it done, could vary

so total price parts + labor is $140? But the tips themselves are 140-180 you said?

Don't like the sound... It's loud but it misses depth...

I would go for PE with cattless DP... You gain performance and it's not JUST loud...

But that's me and i'm not you...

Actually it's not that loud and it does have a deep throaty sound when under load.

Videos on a 335i coupe show a very mature and throttled sound.

I have muffler delete on my 335 and I paid around 100 bucks, I did re use the factory tips though.

The only time I find mine too loud is when the car is cold, its very loud for the first 10 seconds or so and after that its perfect. The reason people with 325,330,328 will not like the muffler delete is because without a turbo(s) you have nothing to muffle the sound and it is extremely loud and annoying.

Muffler shops are asking which muffler I want to delete, the one in the middle or the rear? I'm pretty sure it's the rear muffler?

Just feel like I am taking the cheaper way because I am broke. I decided to wait, ignore the wonders of Plasti Dip, and do everything right the first time.
