i have that same Lens - it works very nicely i think. I dont have anything to compare it to however, but i've taken some nice pics. the Stabilization works really well.

It's more like $350 more. I paid $799 for the body only.

I saw the 40D for sale in a Dell online deal for $1079. Amazon currently has the body only for $1099. So yea, 300 more, not $250.

Dell also had it for 1261 and you can buy a cheap 10-15% coupon on ebay. It includes a pretty good lens (Canon 28-135mm IS). You could always ebay the lens for 400-500.

XSi costs considerably more than XTI because it's just been released. XTi has been around for a while. Come X-mass price will be around $650.

XSi is somewhere between XTi and 40D specwise and pricewise. Good buy IMO. It narrows the huge gap between XTi and 40D.

This discussion reminds me of comments by 325 and 330 people when BMW released 328...
