2011 E90 Whistling Noise

New member here. Just received my last month of production E90 with MSport, MT and Perf Pkg. Love the car! Stoked to be joining the community here. Got a quick question right out of the gates:

Every time I shift gears on the manual tranny (after the shift) we hear a faint whistle from the engine compartment. It happens in all gears, it’s faint but definitely noticeable. Doesn't go away after car is warmed. Was wondering if is normal? Perhaps a break-in sound that will eventually go away? Maybe a turbo sound? Or should we bring it in to be checked?

Would love your thoughts. Thanks in advance!

It's because they have bigger waste gate actuators or something of that nature? Someone else will chime in I'm sure.

It's probably your DV's making the noise. Hard to say without really hearing it....post a video.
