Does Anyone Know How Much Psi Pressure For Hose From Radiator To The Coolant Expansion Tank? As Mine Has Leaked.
Im Thinking Of Replacing It With Fuel Hose With Exact Size And With 180psi. Is It Ok?

Hi! My guess is no one knows the answer to your question, hence no response.

My .02 is to go on ECS or your dealer and buy the correct part, direct replacement.

I'm sure 180 PSI is plenty, most radiator caps release pressure somewhere between 1.2-3 bar depending on the vehicle. But I would get a direct replacement anyways from BMW or another reputable brand.

DO NOT use fuel hose, the coolant will eventually eat through it.

Use proper radiator hose 3/8 inch diameter, that's what I did when mine blew. I just replaced the stock barbs with double barb stainless parts and it works great.

oucchhh i just did mine with 150psi fuel hose.. so far still ok ive been driving crazy...
fuel hose just fit really nice and no more leaking what so ever. but i use the stock clip to the expansion tank. i used 2 and half feet of fuel hose. the rest is stock hose. i connected it together.

Yea most cooling systems operate around 15 psi, our could be higher or lower but I assume not by much.

I would replace with coolant hose. The fuel hose is made of a different rubber that doesnt like glycol and you will significantly shorten the fuel hoses life span in that application.

No! As others have said replace with proper coolant hose. Coolant will ruin the fuel line. Why not just use the correct hose anyway?

Bcoz few mechanics here say its ok. So im confused. They said fuel hose holds more pressure.

Just use the proper line... There is no reason not to. It was designed specifically for what you're using it for, I have no idea why you're trying so hard to make something else work.

Will it be ok? Probably, coolant isn't that damaging relative to gasoline so if the hose stands up to fuel, it will stand up to coolant. It may not last as long since fuel isn't as hot as the coolant going through there and that hose is in a relatively high heat area of your engine.

But it's cheap so I'd just get the proper hose when you have a chance. The higher pressure rating of fuel hose is meaningless if you're never going to get near it. Doesn't mean the hose is better, it's just designed for fuel which runs in a higher pressure system than coolant.
