What do you think about doing the secondary cat delete + magnaflow muffler.

Trying to ball on a budget for now lol.

Hey,
You won't get a service light if you remove secondary cats. They are located after the rear O2 sensor, so you are good.

You may get a few hp bumps. but I don't think it will be like remove primary cats.
You will have a nice sound with that setup. Nothing wrong with modding on a budget :-) Hope all works out for ya

Awesome. Congrats on the new addition :-)

I wanted this thread to be a source of information for a car going through a transformation.
Seeing the gains over time really shows what each mod can do for your car.
Let me know if you have any questions.

I think toronto is the closest place I can have my car flashed with the AA tune. I have to get that planned up for spring.

Sounds good. Would I not pass a sniff test for emissions? Illinois currently only requires OBD hook up to see that all the sensors are ready / clear of faults.

Also, last question:
Know what sounds like a reasonable price for the 2ndary cat delete? I've been getting a few quotes. All seem relatively high.

Thanks for all the help. This thread is the epitome of useful.

I don't think you will have a problem with a sniff test when your secondary cats are removed. The primary cats are the more important ones.

I haven't removed my secondary cats so I am not positive on teh price. However, I have seen prices range from $100-$200 area.

Thanks for the comments :-)

Wow..Nice in depth review of the modifications. I am looking to go this route as well, so this definately helps show that all the mods work (3 stage and the AA tune).
