Bmw M3 E93 - 20" Rims

Hello,

I just ordered 20" staggered rims for my 2008 BMW M3 E93. They recommended 255/30/20 FRONT and 305/25/20 REAR. My car is about 1.5 inch lowered.

Staggered Concavo CW5 RIMS (9" FRONT, 10.5" REAR)

Will these tires fit on my rims and car without rubbing? I really appreciate if you can also find me a place to buy these tires for a good deal.

tire rack would be your best bet, depends on what kind of tire you are looking for Michelin PSS or hankook V12. With a 10.5 rear rim a 305 tire will poke out quite a bit, if you are looking for a more flush look consider going to like 285/295 tire, this is also decrease the likelihood of rubbing

im dropped on swift springs on my e93 and it seems to be very low in the rear. i don't think id be able to run more than a 275 in the rear without rubbing. im not sure how your set up is looking though.

No clue unless you share your wheel offsets.

Offsets are key to your question.

I don't have the rims in hand yet but they have arrived at the shop I ordered them through.

The offsets are 18 and 20. Can you help answer my question with that now?

Also, I am now confused. I called BMW and they said the offset for my car is 29 and 23. Does that mean these RIMS are not good for my car? The guy who shipped them is supposedly someone that understands RIMS and he sent the rims with 18 and 20 offset.

255/30/20 on the front is the best size option but it will likely rub the back of the fender liner slightly when you are at full lock. The rubbing will not be a big deal. You will rub with anything wider than a 285 in the rear with that offset. I would absolutely run a 285/30/20 in the rear. An added bonus is that you will get a taller sidewall over the 305/25/20 that you were considering.

Overall 20's are not well suited for an M3 and are a compromise in every way. Looks, performance, price, comfort, strength, weight, tire options, etc. I wouldn't recommend anything bigger than 19" on this car.

OEM offsets are a good guideline but very few aftermarket wheels are built to OEM offsets. Most people want more aggressive widths and offsets to fill out the fenders. You are also running an aftermarket wheel in different widths than OEM.

The M3 can fit up to 305's even when lowered. The wheel width and offset dictates success.

10.5 with a 20 offset will probably rub with a 305/25. You may want to consider a 295/25 or 285/30

I don't want to hijack this thread but for BBS CHR 19x 9 et 20 F 19x10.5 et 25 R car I run 265/30/19 F and 295/30/19 R without any rubbing even on a full steering lock or I have to go with 255/30/19 F and 285/30/19 R?

We've done these with 265/30 and 255/35. Either way, you're good
