Gotcha, that's confusing as the page/category is for i, xi. It might be worth calling Dinan directly. It's hard to believe that an '06 E90 xi has a radically different suspension from an '06 E90 i or a '07 xi.

Local Dinan rep confirmed that Dinan hasn't, and probably never will, release front strut replacements on xi cars or any of their xi suspension pkg's. The reasoning is the demand isn't high enough for Koni to design a shorter strut just for the xi models.

Any update on the Stage 3 install?

Is the bigger rear sway bar worth the extra $370 over the stage 1 kit? Just looking to get rid of the lifted look and tighten up the handling a smidgen. Wouldn't mind getting rid of the bone jarring when hitting bumps either, do the Dinan springs really give it a smoother ride?

so if the struts are the oem ones, can we piece together the rest of the kit? or which other springs will give a similar drop?

Love the Dinan Stage 3

It has been a couple of months since I did the upgrade, but wanted to update everyone.

Bottom line: it has been fantasic. The suspension seems to have "settled in" a bit and the car handles beautifully.

The Blizzaks were fantastic, and got me home fine during the recent snow disaster here in DC.

You can read about the stage 3 process here:

Wow, loving the looks with the Dinan suspensions - 808AWD325xi, Garth and DashboardDave's cars all look stunning.

Just order my '11 335i coupe with xdrive arriving in June. To get the front the lowest using the Dinan suspensions, which stage should I go for? I've heard rumours that the Stage 3 camber plates add a bit of height? I'm thinking about stage 2 atm...

I have been following this thread for a while, as I'm hoping Dinan will come up with a kit for the Touring. Anyway, as far as the Koni Yellows for the front of our xi's, there is a strut listed on the Koni International site. They've been available since late fall.

True, the part numbers are 8741 1535LSport and 8741 1535RSport.

Now find me an online retailer that sells them in North America...

Well, they are showing up on the Koni NA site now. No price though.

so what kind of springs does the dinan kit use? sounds like you could potentially piece together the kit yourself for much cheaper yourself

edit: so it uses the "bmw performance springs"? so why spend 1300 if you can piece this togehter yourself for so much cheaper? also, the part numbers for the front koni shocks r still listed on the website without a price. hopefully that means they are coming soon
