Is our E87 suspension the same as the E82 or the US 128i?

Great info by the way.
Solenoids- I'm at 142k km without issue, good oil, regular servicing. OEM are fine, BMW or online.

Suspension- overseas. e8x/e9x are interchangeable aside from M stuff (M arms do fit). Do the TRW 1m/m3 arms, massive improvement in feel, plus more neg camber. Brakes differ.

realoem.com will let you check part numbers and compare. Most coil over kits are the same. (Bilstein catalogue etc will validate this, assume KW will provide their numbers too)

Own a manual 08 130i and a DCT MY13 135i. To be honest I prefer driving the 130i. The 130i has been pretty solid. Replaced the water pump and thermo at about 60k and thats about it. Dealer offered me 25k on trade-in for a 1M

I think it is a great little car with a bit of cult following. Good luck in your hunt for a good low K example. I'm sure you will enjoy it

After driving Sarah's 130i 6MT today, not sure that I want to go back to the 135i DCT. The manual is such a nice drive. A manual 135 must be bloody fantastic.

May I suggest that next time you have it off of the ground, pop the clutch delay valve out. (DIY on this site). Massive improvement in clutch feel and shift 'compliance'. You'll hate your car even more

Why did you opt for the DCT?
