Angel eyes and eyebrow

I'm a confused about the color of the angel eyes on the 1er. Sometimes I see pics that show them white/blue, and other times I see them looking yellow. What affects this? Is it a MY thing, or differs with Xenons vs non-Xenons or something? What color will my 2012 128i w/ Xenons be?

I'm a little disappointed that the 2012 1er comes with that "eyebrow" look. I don't think it would've stopped me from ordering one had I known, but it's too bad. I liked how the 1 looked way different than the 3 in front, and now they're a little more alike.

The differences are aftermarket or stocks.
The stocks are slightly yellowish, while most aftermarkets are white/blue hues.

Sweet That'll make up for the eyebrows a little. The light in the eyebrow might be cool though, haven't seen any "real" pics other than the BMW promo ones.

Hopefully this guy will post some pics, would love to see the LCI lights in action: http://www.1addicts.com/forums/showthread.php?t=519327

Those Audi LEDs are sweet. I like the new Mercedes ones too, on the bumper.

Unfortunately the Angel eyes are not white/blue as you can see in the pics, but the same yellow as pre-FL.

The LED brow is white however (you only get LED brow with Xenon option).

I think the contrast from yellow angel eyes to white eyebrow is nice. Wonder how it would look with white eyebrow and white angels though..

No LED brow, but you still get an ugly un-lit brow without xenon

I think so, yes. I remembered seeing it earlier today

I wasn't totally sure if you meant non-xenon gets a brow (just not LED) by your original statement, so i just wanted to clarify for OP

I'm interested to know if you can change the brow LED color separately from the halos. That'd be pretty awesome.

Oh, well, that's kinda disappointing then. I did get Xenons, so I guess it's cool that I'll have the lighted eyebrow. But no white angel eyes, damn.

More than one of those LCI pics is deceptive then: http://www.1addicts.com/forums/showthread.php?t=466003

Unless there's a secret "white angel eyes" option that they added to that white one. I wonder if anyone with pre-LCI headlights will want to trade...

new 5ers have white ones, the new F30 3 series has um too (http://www.bimmerpost.com/forums/att...1&d=1304359504)

I'm surprised they're not going in the LCI 1ers too but who knows, maybe the US will get um.

What gray is that? Awesome. I tried to find that SGM with the coral red interior but gave up when it wasn't happening.

I'm sure a lot of people would want to trade, but it should be just as easy to change the LCI H8 bulbs (the ones that light up the angel eyes) as the pre-LCI H8's. There are lots of options available.. from the cheap, completely plug and play GP Thunder or MTec bulbs, to LED H8's which require a box to stop errors, to HID kits which are the brightest of all (much higher output than stock) and come in any color (from yellow to white to blue to purple) with no problem, but they are the most expensive and most involved to install, requiring a battery hookup and lots of wires. I have the third option and I love how it looks. Getting an HID kit in 6000K would match the eyebrow perfectly:

Left - stock ; middle - LUX LED kit ; right Alpine HID kit 6000K

@1speedbike - i don't think that pic is a fair comparison.. As we all know with the 1 series angel eyes, it's all down to the viewing angle. So that pic leaves little chance for the stock angel eyes, and looks very biased towards HID.

Of course HID will be brighter, but it still isn't a fair comparison based on just this one pic.
