Question Adjustable DTC ?

Is anybody aware of any method/mod to "adjust" the DTC level?
For track use, there is no real option other than driving with everything off.
Who has track experience with recent motorbikes knows how effective and enjoyable can be the drive with a traction control adjustable to several levels (10 sensitivity levels are common).
Is this somehow possible on our cars?

not possible with our cars. On a M3 the euro spec cars have a different MDM that allows for more oversteer before the DSC steps in. Some US spec cars have theior cars coded to this setup. But on a 1er its not possible. As far as I know of.

I feel like the DTC mode (just 1 push) is too intrusive for serious use, while the "all off" mode (2 pushes) may be sometimes difficult to handle (especially at high speeds or in narrow tracks).
Something in the middle would be definitely good...
Have you ever heard about this?

Unfortunately seems to be not easily applicable to post 1999 models

+1 although I still have to research few things because I found some difference in coding lines DSC module which is same like M3 US_DYNAMIC and US_VEHICLE
which can be set to nicht_aktiv (maybe it will change to lower DSC level)

Though some say that it can just disable ESD

And in any case this will not allow us to choose DSC level.

Rimas now that you mention it... remember when BMW started giving us that detune'd SW update to make our engines quieter - and in the process also gutted the throttle response... one other side effect was that the DSC icon changed from the round yellow circle to the skidding car. Some speculated that BMW screwed up the update SW and was giving our lowly 135i's the 1M DSC. Later on... BMW backdated the SW update to the old yellow circle icon.

What does "DSC OFF" warning look like?
