Congratulations! I tried convincing my wife to also get an M3 for her next car but she's perfectly happy with her M-Sport 328i.

You should make an entry in this thread for your wife's car. Her seems to be the lowest-optioned car so far, only leather seats and nothing else.

Looking forward to sharing the pics. Due to some unknown scheduling in October, I had to book the trip as split deal. We'll be in Switzerland 3 days, drive to Munich via Austria in a rental (to hit the Grossglockner and knock that off my bucket list) and then do the pickup on Monday. Then we will have the cars for only 3 full-ish days before turning in Thurs morning in Frankfurt. We'll be staying right by the 'ring at Sabine Schmitz's hotel for 3 nights. Hope that guarantees me at least one tourist drive... (accounting for accidents, bad weather etc...)

Honestly, she wanted a 4 door regardless and I prefer the look of the M3 over the M4. They weigh almost the same so no sacrifice in my mind.

I don't think this is a good idea, men should not be allowed to drive these.

OP congratulations, you might be the only one on this forum who can pull this through, my husband doesn't even drive.

I'm in negotiation stage on an ED for a family hauler M3. The spouse needs to decide where he wants to live for the next few years, that's the only thing holding me back right now.

Hey folks...just an update. We are headed to the Welt this morning for the deliveries. We have done some cool stuff up until today but none of it included the M3s so I'lol wait to post pictures until there is some M3 content later today.

Highlights for the first part of the trip (phase 1) include driving the St Gotthard pass (near the Furkapass from James Bond), Luzern, Hergiswil glass factory, Vaduz Castle in Liechtenstein, and driving our rented Alfa Romeo (6MT of course) all over the damn place (Switzerland, Liechtenstein, Italy, Austria) and up the Grossglockner High Alpine Road.

I have over 800 photos so far and not enough time nor a computer to fully post the whole narrative. I will work on updating this post with many pics when I get home on Friday. Today we drove the Nurburgring. My wife opted to leave her car at the welt for drop off for a number of reasons.
